Psychotherapy provides a non-judgemental, supportive and collaborative therapeutic space where we work together to explore, understand and heal the challenges and struggles you are experiencing. Together, we will discover what is creating these pain points and determine the steps and approaches you can take to alleviate and resolve these challenges. We start to identify what is happening within you (e.g., anxiety, fear) and around you (e.g., triggers, situations) that cause these difficulties. Then, we clearly identify what needs to shift within and around you to improve your life. The goal for therapy is to enhance your functioning and strengthen your capacity to make changes and foster self-determination. Therapy includes a mix of activities including an intake assessment, creation of a therapy goal plan and the use of specific counselling and psychotherapy techniques and strategies to help you achieve your goals.
We pride ourselves on creating safe spaces and offering virtual therapy in order to provide accessible and compassionate care to adults across Ontario.

In the beginning stages of our work together, we will co-create a therapy goal plan to outline the path we will take to help you reach your therapeutic goals. The therapy plan creates a map for how we will work together. It provides clarity and focus on the concerns you want to receive support for, outlines the skills and strategies you want to learn in therapy sessions and determines which therapeutic modalities will be the most effective. The therapy plan is uniquely created for you, with your guidance and input and can be changed and updated as needed.
Therapeutic modalities used in therapy sessions can include:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
IFS Parts Work
Solution Focussed and Strength based frameworks
Narrative Therapy
With the integration of family systems, motivational interviewing, attachment theory and lenses of trauma-informed, anti-oppressive and feminist frameworks
